“Supply Chain Compliance” refers to organizational adherence to established guidelines and requirements that relate to each risk domain along the supply chain continuum, as well as to an organization’s ability to meet or exceed the expectations of its stakeholders with regard to sourcing, manufacturing and delivery of products.
The wholesale distribution of medicinal products is an important activity in the integrated supply chain management. The quality and the integrity of medicinal products can be affected by a lack of adequate control. To this end, the EU Commission has published guidelines on Good Distribution Practice (GDP) of medicinal products for human use in the form of a Commission guideline 2013/C 343/01 http://ec.europa.eu/health/human-use/good_distribution_practice_en.
